I have a probleme of space on my table, on the floor and the size of my quilt.
The quilt I want to baste is 90 inches square. I have a table yet smaller than the quilt and I wanted to use it with clamps but my clamps won't clamp because thickness of the table top to great.
On the floor with masking tape... The only space usable( big enough) is the living room but with wood flooring I do not want to mark it with pins scratches.
I looked on line for basting on q snap frame. There is mention of it but not much and often with quilt tack or tread, not pins.
I did use the q snap with tacks but what a lot of fun removing the tacks after....😣😩 and I had shifting and puckering of my backing. So no tacks.
Pins it will be and on the q snap.
So what I did first is find and mark center of backing, batting and top. Of course getting rid of wrinkles using best press if needed.
Put center of the sandwich in center of q snap. Help of another person nice but still feasible alone.
Make sure before pinning every layers is taut .
Then pin
