Amarillo Texas

Downpour and thunderstorm!

Texas have been receiving huge amount of rain. It is incredible the floods. The fields look like lakes. Thunder and lightning with rain so bad it is seeping trough our rain suits. And cold... 60 F , and we were scarred of being to hot'

So we stopped early in Amarrillo .  Correction: the animal on the side of the road are armadillos not Amarillo like the town.

Oklahoma is a beautiful state. Green and lots of farm land. People are nice but not as nice as people in Texas . Here, all wet and cold people looking at us smiling and just came to us to talk. They all want to know where we are from and always wish us safe drive. I like Texas . But it is so wet that I can not wait to cross to New Mexico . We are about 2 hours drive from the state line.

Mike is exploring the town of Amarrillo while I am trying to warm myself and dry some clothes in the hotel room.

So far we are doing pretty good budget wise. Food as been good to... We do stop at Cracker Barrel a lot! There we know we are going to have good food at a good price. Tonight Mike wants to try a Texan style restaurant he saw nearby. Hope it is not to spicy. 

Sorry for not putting much pictures. It is so wet and cold that we just keep on riding and riding.

I now have over 3000 miles on my bike.
