Athens Tennessee

We left Asheville around 7:30 on our way to the tail of the Dragon. The tail of the dragon is part of the blue ridge mountain and crosses from North Carolina to Tennessee . It has 318 turns in 11 miles. We got there at a good time around 10:30. That was the beginning of the tail at deals gap. Mike got a shirt I did not want to jinx anything and get my shirt before actually doing the thing. So there I went the snail on the tail. We happened to be there as a rally of nissan's sports cars were there, and they were fast. It still was good timing cause lots of bikers were stopped for dinner at deals gap restaurant. For myself I was more thinking of puking ,that is how frigging scared I was. I am no dragon slayer...
Look at me. And this is just a baby dragon on a leash.
I am trying to strangle the thing before riding it's mama's tail...😳😩
Mike like always happy and not scared whatsoever .telling me when real sharp turns were coming up. The cardo intercom system very convenient for this.
This is Mike before is departure.
Tired a lot after this we decided to stop early. And yes the snail tamed the dragon.😛😜
Those turns...I do have to say that the 421 North Carolina highway( the SNAKE) was to me worst then the dragon and Mike agree. Or am I getting better? I did pull over for those fast cars and few bikes faster than me but there is a lot of pull off area along the way. People do stop a lot in those area to wait for friends or just watch cars and bikes go by. So I did it. Our roads down home are flat and straight in comparison and our challenge is mostly to avoid pot holes. Here I have to say the pot holes are almost non existent. That is it for today. Stay tuned more adventure coming. Memphis? Maybe. I do not like to busy of cities. We will see.
